I'm never quite sure on Snotlings.. Do you have one base each? most of the time, it appears no and you make up 40mm bases which feature a few of them.. but the number.. I've only got 2 snotlings and never played against someone using them so no real experince with how they really play so how the bases are best set up. But I decided I wanted a few so placed a pre-order for Oldschool's Kev Adams Rutlings.. and they have been released and should turn up tomorrow. yay.. I'll have.. quite a few of them. While I do have (of course) a painting queue, It does bring back the whole basing issue.. Third edition just seams to say you can have 0-40 snotlings, which have 5-20 bases per unit, where most figures are models per unit. Looking at "Kev's army" .. no snottings shown.
Going to the 4ed Army book.. I can see some bases in photos with.. erm.. 5-6 models per base? rule wise.. kinda says about 9 per base but as a figure base, 3 wounds then remove.. so.. each wound represents 3 Snottings.. fair enough.. going back to the old historical days of figures representing larger amounts.
So I guess that kinda answers my question.. about 9 per base (unless they don't fit of course) but.. what are other peoples ideas for basing amounts? I got some mushrooms and bits I'll put on the bases as well if I feel like it.
