Slaan Warband

I can so see that dragon deep in the Lustrian jungles. I can sympathise with the painting on/off desire. I've a pile of Night Haunts on my desk that are taking ages and I've somewhat lost motivation for them at present!

I've always loved the Slann, so I'm a sucker for this thread. I don't remember whether it was "traditional" of not for the frogmen, but I really like the blue color scheme you've gone with. I like your taste in ruins, too. Evocative without being silly (sometimes Slann glyphs looked a bit too cartoonish to me, and you have none of that going on, which is great.) And of course the blue and pink on that dragon are stunning and perfect for the exotic, vibrant coloration of the Lustrian jungles.

Thank you very much for your nice comments, maybe I should sit down at the Slaan again and paint ...

I need your input on this. I'm looking for a figurine to place on a sedan chair. I just don't have any idea what kind of model would work. It shouldn't be too rough-looking and should go well with the old Slaan models.

Does anyone have a good idea?

Thread 'Okay... Hunt for Frog/lizard/whatever Slann'

Right... The Slann went for a number of changes (including a couple of name changes but lets not dwell on that just now).

There are two major Citadel designs (not counting the Lizardmen ones which was pretty much just one design) and the old ones can be.. well, they are WAY overpriced. So the hunt is proxies.. but boy, they don't appear to be many.

* Diehard miniatures which I think most of the range was Tim Prow. These are slightly more Tree Frog second main version of the Slann.
* Little Soldier Company have Kev Adams ones which are more earlier Gecko design

I know...
