skavtember 2025

A little bit much and nuglely for my taste but that's fine cause they may have been a special order for the plague monks ^_^ nice work and they are far away from the cyborgs GW seams to like now

Those are proper chaotic ratties. Truly terrifying.
thank you.

yes, the only citadel ones i like are the original jes goodwin models, but i don't have any of those and the lack of poses would also be an issue.
i picked up skrattle at vapnartak many years ago, and that set the direction i went for this pack.

i've now added another five two-handed weapon armed skaven to the clan.

Those plastic rats look really good and that paint job looks like it's very efficient too (unlike everything I do!). Obviously I can only apologies if you're taking 4 hours on each figure.

I also love the 'in stages' photo, reminds me of the painting guides you'd get tucked away in the back of rulebooks!

And on the topic of inefficient painting, below is my offering for Skavtember, who coincidentally has a twin flying through the postal system. This one has been on the painting table for a very long time and I used the motivation of trying out some new colours to actually get on and paint the little ratty one. Some of the colours worked, others less so, and the skin is definitely more purple than I wanted. And clearly layering like this is no way to paint skaven but does explains why I'll never get anywhere near a painted army of ratmen. There's also a surprising amount of detail on these old sculpts which is both a blessing a a curse...

Anyway, I offer up Skewer for the judgement of the Horned Rat.
