^Usually. There are a few people who might not count it. (I think there's at least one person on here who would regard Rogue Trader as Middlehammer.) But by and in large, I think we would mostly agree to that. If Necromunda and Mordheim are, then Space Crusade absolutely is.

I think Oldhammer is more a mindset than a model. More narrative driven and flexible than the current 40k. I like the choice to have hordes of unarmed gretchin if I want, rather than an army that has a tournament optimised army list. I like my pulsa rokkits that could be amazing but are more likely to be hilariously pants.

Whilst there's an Oldhammer style/look it's fairly broad (and I know my 4th edition fantasy and 2nd edition 40k is considered dangerously middle hammer - I may even paint some things red! 🤣). I'm not one to discount modern paints and materials if they can give me the look I wanted to achieve back then.

/aside/ I just don't get why it wasn't named Midhammer - sounds much more like an Empire city to my mind and therefore much better than Middle Hammer, unless there is some witticism I am missing? /aside/

But no we're not strict here. And as active posters come and go the current threads will drift, maybe next month we'll have a few dedicated C-series collectors register and emphasis might shift back, I certainly worried a bit at first about posting a few 4th Ed fantasy models feeling they were a bit new hammer for the board, but no one minded. I think you'll find much nostalgia here for Space Crusade and be on safe ground. As others have said it would seem to fit very much with that more eclectic earlier GW era and if we pick up some Midhammer fans along the way I don't think we'll be casting them out on the virtual street!

of course, we then have HeroHammer ^_^ or as some have said 'RedHammer'.

but yep, not strict. we have alot of non-GW stuff (and GW Co-produced stuff).
