Rogue Trader Goodies

Thought I would share a couple of models bulldoglopez painted up for me, since he isn't posting them here ;)

They were fun to paint! I love that bionic arm dude. I struggled with whether or not to embellish the armor with naughty slogans, but I felt that it would take away from the model. It already has so much personality as is.

Ok, doing a mass photo dump. Haven't posted here in a while because of the various facebook groups and planning the USA Oldhammer day. Stuff i've painted over the past year or so..

Enjoy!

NAVIGATOR

ASTROPATH

BOB OLLEY SPACE PIRATE

A beautiful miniature to paint. I absolutely love Bob Olley.

BOB OLLEY SPACE PIRATE

Again, an absolute joy to paint. Bob Olley minis looked horrible in the catalogs and I was never a fan until I painted one. Now I love them.

Thanks for looking guys!

That khaki and turquoise that you used on Worldburner and co really works on those Iron Claw pirates too.

Fantastci stuff all round.

Excellent ! Love to see Iron claw pirtae sgetting some love these days ! As commented above, your colour choices are really spot on a while graphically pleasant for a modern eye, they retain that odlschool touch (combining both is not always that easy).
I like your style.

Thanks guys! You are too kind. Tryi g to a chieve that "updated retro" look can be a little challenging. I've repainted and stripped a few minis. Some of the RT figures are difficult to paint, which is why I really love the Olley sculpts. They are very easy to paint and fun. Don't know what he does differently, but I definately feel like they are a "painters miniature". Not to sound snobby or anything. I consider myself a competent painter, but i'm not up there with some of theseother insane warlocks running arou d these days lol.

In any case, thanks for the comments and keep your eyes peeled for more! You guys are great encouragement.

Great work Bulldoglopez. I think your stuff hits the sweet spot between speed and quality. Competent paint jobs are more our stock in trade. Spending half a year painting one set piece model is just not compatible with the need for throughput. If we spend longer painting a model than the sculptor spent making it we better get used to small games.

Love the dreadnought. Very classic paint. And the Olley pirates look splendid. I just missed a pack of adventurers last summer that included the navigator, the elf trader, and several pirates I didn't have. I spotted it, but I'd promised my wife I'd lay off for a while. There it sat for a couple of months. I checked in nearly every day. By the time my cooldown period was over I went to buy it and it was gone.

But anyway, lovely work.

Hey everyone! Sorry for not posting in a while. Been busy with Oldhammer Day and work and I started a blog and gaming and painting and famly and stuf and stuf and stuff and stuff.

Just thought I would share some more pictures here. I write up more about each figure on my blog, but any c&c is always welcome from this enlightened crowd.

Our Oldhammer USA event mini "Psycho Sam"

Aaaaaaaand not rrreally Oldhammer..... but REALLY OLDHAMMER. Yeah. Hail Oderus!

And then this one... I can't remember who took this picture. I want to say it was BlueinVT. Great picture of my cult. I recently sold the limo to someone who made a random offer and i'm building a new snazzier one! Keep your eyes peeled for an update.

I've seen many of these personally, and all I can say is that I want to borrow them... permanently.

Consider that an invitation to NOVAOSRGOT16.
