it's the blossom tufts. For some reason they're not on eBay but I found another site.

Thanks again for the positive feedback. This thread is encouraging me to get more and more done.

The tufts I am using are Army Painter tufts. I understand that they are the Silifor stuff repackaged and marked up in price. I picked them up at the FLGS rather than order them on the net and wait. I wanted them then and there. I am thinking about picking some more up from Annetolci's (or however it's spelled).

Here's Gandalf. The sculpt is rough as guts. I was amazed and yet the character and charm of an oldhammer model is there in spades. Again my camera is taking ordinary shots. He looks much better in hand, honest!

Thanks oldhammer's who helped me source the majority of the original 14 Talisman models. Theres a few still to go sadly. Should be complete in the next month or so with any luck.

I finished what I suppose you could say is a commission for LeadAbsestos. I got some old school LOTR minis to add to the collection and in return I painted up some Fir Bolg. 15 of them was probably my threshold. After that I really needed to paint something else.

I'll kick off the minis in chronological order and finish with the Fir Bolg.

First up some Citadel fighters and Elric. I am going to revisit the shield. The fighter with crossbow I think can be found in the foundry collection these days. It doesn't look too small in comparison to the other older figures.

Next the Talisman project rolls on. Prophetess, Assassin and Dwarf. I only have the warrior to go to complete the set but he is proving a bastard to get a hold of at a decent price. I must be patient :cry:

Then I tackled some rangers led by Aragorn himself. I think the guy with the axe is a ranger adventurer from a very early box set. A quality mini with a great face for an early sculpt.

And finally I thought I would share the Fir Bolg. Sorry if they are not your cup of tea, I kind of like the ugly bastards.

Those are grand, Rob_S! I'd always been put off the fir bolg by the photos on the Alternative Armies site, but they'd be perfect as Wood Woses for my Chanson de geste games I play with my boys.

Thanks guys! My foldio (portable light box) arrived last week and I have been experimenting with it and an old camera that seems to take better shots than my phone. I know this is a re-hash of the pics above but I though I would post them again as I think they look better. Forgive my indulgence
