Phreedh's various sci-fi (25/4: More models, pg3)

Re: Phreedh's various sci-fi (5/10: More models, pg2)

Oh, sir, what a lovely crew! They look great when together. I must confess that Bil the Radipus made me laugh, what an addition! Great work!

Re: Phreedh's various sci-fi (5/10: More models, pg2)

I am really liking the repainted plastics, particularly the space badger.

Excellent stuff Phreed, I am really liking this colourful bunch of models! The Astro badger and handler are my favorite things of the lot. :)

Re: Phreedh's various sci-fi (5/10: More models, pg2)

Great stuff, first time I've seen the space lords line painted to this high a standard and the prepainted plastics look great, would not have guessed their origin.
Looking forward to the space babes.

If you were to tell about having a astro badger in my teams I would be "WTF dude" but then I'd see yours and woud be "OH sure".

Splendid work, just not enough of it. PAINT MORE ALREADY.

Oh and though sausage fest is sometimes fun, the team could definitely use mussels too I agree.

Re: Phreedh's various sci-fi (5/10: More models, pg2)

Fimm and Rob: The badger is apparently both a hit with the ladies AND us middle aged gamer nerds! A classic win/win if ever there was one. :)

JB: I'll try to paint a little more frequently during the winter, just for you mate.

24: Yeah, hopefully we'll see more Spacelords now when Doug is working on re-releasing them. Painted examples are far too few! I'm trucking on though, as I'm not painting any Citadel this year I'm mostly painting Spacelords or other Metal Magic minis.

Otto: I do like Snitch too... I didn't at first, but he grew on me. He just looks like such a loser, the poor guy. Part Greedo, part Jar Jar.

Suber: Thanks man, I've been longing for the opportunity to include Bil in a project but just couldn't fit him into my fantasy stuff. =)

The pathetic aesthetic is strong in Snitch. Part Greedo and part Jar Jar is a pretty good description. I think it is the appearance of interaction between him and Bubba which makes it a special pairing, almost like Snitch is attempting to get Bubba to go down a hole but Bubba isn't budging.

"Get in there you big furry oaf, I don't care WHAT you smell!"

Yep. :)

I seem to have neglected this thread almost as horribly as my lead mountain! :o

Regardless, since I last posted - here's what I've been up to.

In November, I started painting the Raizze from Lancer Miniatures. I'm not done with the squad yet, but whenever I paint any of these it's a quick affair.

First test piece

After some more painting, mostly undocumented on the blog, I've ended up with this bunch of space lizards

Then there was this repainted Star Wars prepainted plastic, now known as the rad-mutant Morton Fieldmann

Recently I painted this robot, from the old OOP Perry Rhodan range from Hobby Products (Metal Magic, you know). He's pulling duty as a autonomous bounty hunter droid. A bit like IG88, but orange and less tubular.

Finally, I painted another Wartech (Spacelords, Hobby Products) which was a failed entry to the speed painting challenge.

She'll be kicking it with the guys from Morley's crew previously posted.

Hi Preedh. Some great stuff. Those lizards look really good with the red.

She does look the part leading those troopers. Btw have the troopers been rereleased or are they OOP?
