as there is a huge historical footprint of various armies using feathers on helmets, hats and the like, as well as the major British use in the ECW, and the Perry's interest in that... I could think they might have something to do with it

yeah, the tolkienistas got their heckles up over Peter Jackson et al. All I said was the Perry's had been extras on the LOTR movies...

so they were there simply to start sketching the sculpts for the GW lines of the MESBG? Whatever GW or WETA spent to host them i'm sure paid off. I have spent more on this line of miniatures than i care to admit. The OOP models in metal still sell for a lot of $$$

AFA the movies, i don't see why people lump it all together. I never compare books to movies, or apples to Oranges either.

Oh, erm, early 3rd edition, September 87s "F2 Big Fighters" had alot of featured helmets. credit wise.. was something they lacked alot then
