Oldhammer is quite and inspiration for some contests I go in for (long time lurker here). Thought some might like these, 2 10mm paper mini fantasy army's which could be used as a replacement for those found in the "terror of the Lichmaster". They are free of course, now they are submitted wanted to share.

And yes Zhu paper minis from you would be great. maybe you or 8rad could do some for a starter scenario.

Did somebody say paper figures?

I have two matched armies for Montrose's campaign in Scotland in the English Civil War (and the start of armies for the Battle of Tipton Green, the battlefield for which is about a mile and a half from my front door) done with the gorgeous paper figures PDFs from Billy Bones Workshop. Looks like an illustration from an old lithograph or antique book.

Bases are 60mm x 40mm so equate to six 28mm figures or three cavalry models. Currently using Black Powder rules with them.

@ 8rad: Thanks for sharing those! They are fantastic!
@Coopdevil: What a splendid display & the B&W makes it feel like the battle fell out of a woodcut.

I really want to see a whole battlefield in monochrome or sepia for them to play on now...

I've tried it once before with a white cloth on the table for quite a big game (8' x 6') but it didn't look right - looked too snowy! I prefer the bare MDF surface now although a part of me is wondering what playing on a garishly patterned Victorian/Edwardian rug might look like. As if we were discussing all this old school wargaming business in 1914 and playing on the playroom floor of our London or Bath townhouses...

Billy Bones is also doing American Civil War in sepia based upon p'chops of period photographs - http://billybonesworkshop.co.uk/

also rather than detail this thread further, I'm looking for feedback on some very early concept work for some Space Fantasy type paper figures... ASTROPUNK!™
