Oxfam... Again. Some Bretonnians, from Germany(!)

Afternoon all,

spotted these pricey little numbers on the Oxfam online site. Search under 'Warhammer' (set 'sort & filter' and sort by 'newest arrivals') & you will find 8x Bretonnians Knights going for a handsome £44.99 each + p&p. The siege mantlet at £34.99 + p&p. Ouch!

In the 80s, Oxfam of American were an awful company who were far from charitable. In the late 90s, early 2000s, Oxfam of Britain was REALLY over priced and paid there top staff insane amounts. These days? I'm not sure.

On the plus side, they deal alot with the Estate of Tove Jansson and have nice stuff. So.. swings and roundabouts ^_^

On the completely unrelated side, if you don't know, Tove Jansson also did art for alot of Swedish prints of books. Only in the last XX years have these then been printed into English editions. I have her illustrated version of the First Alice Book and Hunting of the Snark, and for all you Tolkien fans, I think they have printed her illustrated version of The Hobbit in English now. If you don't know how Tove Jansson is... sigh..
