Okay.. So I got a bit of a Fantasy Regiments project on the go which is going fairly well I think (too many projects... really must finish more before I more onto the next) but I have a minor problem with the Orcs. Well, technically the Orcs and Goblins.
Out of the 6 figure types you get, 4 of them appear more designed to allow Shields. You get 5 different shield types. You get a Hammer one, which is Clearly Dwarf, you get Skaven Clan Symbol, which is clearly Skaven, You get a blank which could be anything, and you get a Moon and a Grinning Face..
Now.. I'm not sure why, But to me, the Moon always feels more Gobliny and the grimming face... well, kinda chaos but more Orc then Goblin. However, Box photos for both the original release, and the later re-issue show the Moon shield with the Orc (they also show a shield with the Dark elf but looking at that figure it makes no sense.. but then that Figure is a bit of a pain as I can't figure out how he is meant to be holding that Crossbow)
Neither version of the Box art helps (wow.. noticing How much that image was retouched.. or was it completely redone inspired by the original? ... there is too much the same for it to be completely different, but too much different for a simple retouch)
looking at the 4ed Armies book.. I can see where I got it from.. the Night goblins very much use the Moon as a symbol... which is a bit odd since they are meant to be more Cave dwellers, which leads to the better eye sight at night, so surely the moon wouldn't be a major factor for them..
Anyway.. Really, I can do whatever the hell I like, But just wondering on peoples views on the issue
