Oldschool 80s Champions of Chaos on sale from GW

Damn you Erny! I've managed to track down a 2nd hand dragon, and two of the riders, but am missing a horse and saddle for the dragon itself. And now you tell me you have a pair of them?! ;)

None I'd assume since the big purge of the 'noughties' when they destroyed them due to lack of storage space. But moulds don't matter, it's the master castings that they're most likely to still have. It would be nice to see more oldies cast up again even if they were only available for a short period of time. Certainly a good way of clawing back some of the money that flows through the second hand market.

I managed to get the four riders and three horses on Ebay a few years back but couldn't find that damn dragon so I was really chuffed to find it available through GW. When I bought it I was hoping the saddle would be included even though it wasn't pictured but I wasn't surprised to find it wasn't. Thankfully a kind LAF'er had a spare (after having painted up a whole unit of dragons years ago). Like most of my stuff it's all in the lead pile gathering dust, BUT IT'S MINE!!! :grin:

There's an irony that having claimed at the start of this thread "I'm not interested in Chaos", I've now found at home in Liverpool one of the champions that's being resold - sadly missing most of his sword - and am now repairing and painting him for the OGRE chaos warbands meet. Which just goes to show, never say never.

I've said similar many times only to end up obsessing about whatever it was I claimed to have no interest in. :lol:
