I came across some printed shields on Etsy by a Canadian outfit called Celtic Miniatures that I thought they might be of interest to the gang here. They have a bunch of existing designs suitable for Orcs, Chaos, Undead etc. and also offer a custom design service.
Anyway, I ended up placing a small order which turned up today. Pretty quick service as these were ordered on June 26th.
Beer mug shields
13mm diameter shields and a bit thicker than the old Citadel holey ones as you can see at the bottom of the photo.
Custom Elf shields
12mm diameter shields ultimately destined for use with my RR7 Oreon's Wood Elf archers.
I'm happy with these. Decent prints and the seller threw in a few free extras (ordered 20 of each and got 23).
Prices are OK too. About £0.23 for the beer mug design and £0.40 for the custom one. FYI, I had favourited the shields and was given a small discount on my order as a result. FWIW, my custom design is now part of the range and at a lower price than I paid. Fair dos
P&P was extra as was VAT. Everything included, these worked out as roughly £0.50 each. Not too bad and cheaper than metal alternatives.
