Old-School Glory Returns – Avatars of War Plastic Regiments Are Back!

style looks pretty modern for my tastes (proportions and all) though the flying galls look close to what I've been on the look out for for some succubi... though that advertising rubbish is.. pretty bad.. "the most emblematic Old-School Plastic Regiments" that basically means they are saying these are the best quality and style for Old-school plastic regiments.. nope, sorry, lost to Citadels Fantasy regiments or even some of the 4ed plastics.. these don't look bad but kinda way too 2000 era

Avatars of war do amazing figures but they're definitely not oldhammer style. They're actually too good in some respects and were the go to for better sculptures in 6th and 7th. I have a few of their metal hero's in a box somewhere in the lead pile. Probably hiding with the second Kremlo I misplaced and have never been able to find again.

someone who is pretty bad at their job as the advert appears designed to annoy anyone into old style miniatures but being stuff which is.. late middle at best but that's the way of things. No problem with adverts done by people being honest and stuff but.. yeah.. like what's his name from @beQuestminiatures ^_^ good honest adverts for good stuff which does tie in alot with old style and he does reply to comments and stuff.. Ah Jonas isn't it?

Sorry to revive this thread, but do you have any idea what size the models are like? Got my eye on some Slayer hero minis, but get impression they are bit bigger than most Citadel sculpts.

They are pretty chunky. I'm away so I can't take a photo, but they are sizeable stockier than any of the older gw stuff. Not much taller but bulkier They were tough to squeeze onto 20mm bases and rank up as I recall. But for heroes, i'm not sure it's that important.
