Old miniatures rereleased

I was looking at GeeDubs rereleases of a load of old greenskin minis and wondered besides there inflated selections and wargames foundry are there any other reproducers of oldhammer minis?

wargames foundry are not reproducers.

When Bryan Ansell left Citadel, he got (as part of his leaving package) most if not all the old historical figures and the rights. Foundary then tooled new molds and put them into production.

technically saying 'reproducers' has... negative tones as that is more the side of recasters, which are people who take a figure which has been made, and make there own mold from it and knock it out. Mostly this is illegal. And you will be able to spot a number of eBayers doing this ¬_¬ and tons of etsy people doing 'metal heroquest figures' which are just home made bootlegs of the plastics (which is pointless making into metal that way anyway).

I think I know what you mean, but just a comment about terms. If you find a miniature maker saying they are selling reproductions, kinda run in the opposite direction. This isn't the same as a homage sculpt, which is.. a grey area (very grey) where someone sculpts (ideally by hand) their own figure based on some art or an older figure. Basically it's the difference between looking at a painting and trying to copy it, and just using a photocopier on the original.

I ment no offense, I've brought museum reproductions, rulebook reprints and similar fair so as a term it doesn't have same stigma around it for me, my apologies. So is foundry the only ones other then ral patha's successor companies (which sell pre-citadel only minis) that sell stuff that is for lack of a better term "directly oldhammer"?

No problem, no offense or anything ^_^

with Museums, they have the rights, mostly when there aren't any 'rights' holders. and even then, if you tried to make your own, some museums would have a few words with you. Rulebook reprints are often done by license holders, or they get the rights. Like how... can't remember the name of the company got the rights to handle Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. GW sometimes re-issue old rule books but often not a fantastic price for the quality.

Foundry has the rights for the old historicals from Citadel. Ral Patha (well.. yeah, it's a mess who owns what with them reusing names) have many of their old ones still in production. There are many companies which make new figures in either the old style OR, in some cases, It's still the same people. While he is meant to be retiring this year, Kev Adams does alot for Oldschool Miniatures still, so personally, a new Kev Adams goblin isn't much difference in how directly oldhammer it is then an old Kev Adams goblin from back in 3ed and 4ed.

GW sometimes re-issue some of their older models, though mostly newer ones (6ed), there are a few companies still around which have been producing the same miniatures for years. Em4 do some which were first in production in the late 80s, Essex Miniatures started in 1980 and are still producing miniatures, with many of the same ones. Little Soldier company have got the current rights for the Hinchliffe fantasy models which are technically pre-oldhammer, and many of the models did appear in some of the old scenarios when warhammer first started. and Alternative Armies have alot of the old Asgard Miniatures figures still in production (they started about 1976 and was co-founded by Bryan Ansell. him, Nick Bibby, Jes Goodwin and Tony Ackland were all sculptors who kinda started their before going to Citadel when Ansell founded that company.

When it comes to Citadel Warhammer miniatures.. Basically, Games workshop (Citadel) are the ONLY ones with them. They have the originals. However, like I said, the historical miniatures from when he left citadel went with Bryan Ansell and put into production at Foundry.
