Yep, took me a while to locate, but I went looking last night. Journal issue #1 (1994) "unseen enemy" by Ian Pickstock. Also, Eric. You mentioned rules for Space Hulk in the dark? Sounds really interesting
Found it, it looks great fun, and very tense. I like the rule that if you try and flame or use a template weapon on a section you cant see and its a door or bulkhead. There is a good chance you can get backdraft and hurt yourselfYep, took me a while to locate, but I went looking last night. Journal issue #1 (1994) "unseen enemy" by Ian Pickstock.
Not forgetting Kendo Nagazaki and the 7 (+) Samurai and the wonderful early chariots, the Citadel Knoll chieftains chariot a great example of early sculpts, with its casual looking crew.
broadly perhaps around end of April start of May kinda time to avoid too many clashes with the other big UK events
Ahh makes more sense. I think with some better advertising and our enthusiasm we could make something great. I mean just us lot was a really fun day.My bad - I didn't mean this April/May, Gary and I were pondering 2027 when we were chatting.
Indeed. I think we pondered that UK Games Expo is end of May (obviously a big event for somewhere like Enjoyment), Salute is often the start of April (11th I think this year), Beachead is Feb. So the gaps looked like now-ish (March) or between Salute and the Expo.I would wager that any oldhammerer in the vicinity at the time would choose an oldhammer event over any other wargames show.
I think so. Granted we're never going to quite get the draw of peeking through cabinets of old Citadel miniatures you drooled over as a kid in White Dwarf, or parking your feet up on Bryan Ansell's coffee table, but I expect we could put on a reasonable show!Ahh makes more sense. I think getting people involved by doing an armies on parade would be a nice way of making people feel part of the eventIndeed.
