Also have a tray style box for the Adventurers Starter set, with the John Blanche WFB1 "harry the hammer" cover, but no photo of that. Did have lots more but they got junked when moving house years ago. Silly me.

I have nothing to add to this thread other than the beat up Styrofoam trays from my bugmans and ulther's boxes....the cardboard is long gone...but the Styrofoam lives on!

@Erny...that is an AWSOME pile of goodies there!

Cool stuff Zhu, which regiment did you have in the regiments of renown box, love the Blanche painting on that one. I suspect my hobgoblins originally came in such a box, least ways I have a plastic insert tray about that size.

Blue I have a few now box less insert trays left from my youth. I cut the boxes up and stuck them on my wall. You can see why everyone thought I was so cool as a 13 year old now.

Where is everyone elses boxes!

I will try to take some pictures of my boxes tonight... It will be boxes produced before the 4th edition, as I do have a lot of boxes postdating it too...

It contained a full set of Oreons Bowmen command and a couple of troopers - flogged off on ebay a while back, but I really like the box artwork too (so I kept it!). The tray insert is a styrofoam one - the same as I have in the Eternal Champion boxed set (not pictured) and the BME1 Fellowship (box long gone). I think the thin plastic trays came with the Speciality Sets?

Don't have many boxes I'm afraid, but the few I've got will be photographed and posted for your enjoyment shortly.

My boxes are tattered and ragged compared to these pristine beauties. I've only recently got into box collecting myself and had parents who routinely junked packaging back in the 80s. These are fantastic to see. Has anyone got the macharies of destruction boxes to share?

Besides the ones already showed above, I've got these below and the Skeleton War Machines...

Woww! I remember seeing all this boxes as a child and being unable to purchase because of not money :(

Same here. Did you also used to look at ad pages in WD or the catalogues and play that little game where you'd pick say 10 models from each page that you'd buy if you had the money?

Sadly I don't have any boxes left after all these years. I remember being gutted when I first ordered from GW mail order and discovered that they didn't send out the models in the retail packaging.

Not only that but I used to spend hours of my life searching blisters packs in my then LFGS trying to find the sculpts I was after. Fun times! :)

I also went through a phase of cutting out the photos of the models I liked, colour them in and stick them on a base.

That reminds me I also used to save the different blister cards because all the different ranges had different designs. Every time I got a blister that had a 'new' card design I'd carefully prise the plastic off to try and preserve the backing.

Over 25 years on and I still do this. :) I've got loads of the old Citadel blister pack cards stored in a box from the 80's onwards.

Yes to the blister packs.

Yes to the making mental lists. Somehow by restricting your choices to your favorite 10 it was closer to having them than just imagining you had them all.

I also used to paste the pictures from adverts to card as card minis. Clearing out my dads house this summer I found a bunch of marauder dwarf clans men made in this way.

I had a broken one of these so I thought I would take a photo of the whole box flattened out ... just in case anyone was interested in seeing the whole image as it was a wrap around.
