Okay... Hunt for Frog/lizard/whatever Slann

Right... The Slann went for a number of changes (including a couple of name changes but lets not dwell on that just now).

There are two major Citadel designs (not counting the Lizardmen ones which was pretty much just one design) and the old ones can be.. well, they are WAY overpriced. So the hunt is proxies.. but boy, they don't appear to be many.

* Diehard miniatures which I think most of the range was Tim Prow. These are slightly more Tree Frog second main version of the Slann.
* Little Soldier Company have Kev Adams ones which are more earlier Gecko design

I know @Sprue_Goblin_Games was working on a few Slann proxies but I'm not sure how far they got along and I don't think he really has done a website where you can buy production copies, though I know his slave is at Ramshackle.

And that's.. kinda it. I've checked with a number of companies I know of an come to mind and.. nope.. nothing. the odd more sci-if sized frogs but even them are far and few between.

Any suggestions?
 
yeah, kinda discounted them as more then the frog-like Slann third version, they are more just.. Frog-men. I'm not against the frog-like form but.. there is a difference between frog-like to just plain frog-men.

I might give them a try for some sculpting practice but I'm not quite sure which look I prefer out of the main three (as I see them)... If I can't figure out a clear idea, I can't really do much ^_^

FDM printer ^_^ I don't really like using 'printer farms' but aren't against chatting up the odd person I know. so I'm not greatly against them BUT, not the most ideal.

but yeah.. kinda goes with alot of information I've kinda been figuring out of the Slann... not alot of love
 
Depends on how wide you want to cast the net when it comes to materials & morphology.

North Star Military Figures have some snake-men that might pass, particularly the hooded models.

Maybe not your ideal material, but £1.10 a model is pretty reasonable for the plastics. I've seen those on a few sites so might be worth shopping around for a better price.

Oh, North Star have some nice stuff, but too snakey.. Maybe if I wanted a faction based on the fourth main MOTU faction (You have the good guys, Skeletor's evil Masters of the Universe, then the Evil Horde.. who the cartoon said were who Skeleton worked for anyway.. which.. ugh.. there are reasons I'm not a fan of the cartoon ¬_¬..., then the Snake Men (two of skeletor's men then defected over)... we shan't go into the mess of the Powers of Greyskull line that was barely released) of course there was whatever faction that Zodac, the Cosmic enforcer was meant to be connected to.

Them Katrina ones aren't too bad.. 3d which is a bit of shame and design is kinda all over the place.. but Bringing attention to other companies/peoples ones is kinda what I'm trying to do (as well as find some nice figures for myself) ^_^
