No more Kickstarter for Oldschool Miniatures

Hi all

Oldschool Miniatures have run their last Kickstarter (I hope). We have run 37 starting with the demon cannon and ending with another deamon themed KS including another deamon cannon.

My thinking is that I will release minis more often via the website to smooth the business out. We have lots of minis that we can release that if we waited for a KS it wouldn't get released this year.

The dragon below is the first one of these releases - with Kev and John P goblins as soon as they are cast

The Kickstarters have offered the opportunity to get the models at a cheaper price, will you be able to give higher discounts on unit purchases?

If you are able to support yourself and create new stuff without having to go to Kickstarter, great! I have no real problem with KS and like Meredith said, they are often used to sell figures at a cheaper price to get them into production, but if you are a company who can 'afford' to get new figures and put them into production WITHOUT KS, that's a better situation. While Oldschool Minis is far smaller then some, I do get a bit annoyed with large companies who don't NEED to go to KS doing it (like Hasbro ¬_¬) cause it kinda defeats the point of the platform and makes a mockery of all the small companies and people trying to get something done.

I was on Facebook but god hacked over Christmas and got banned realised I really didn’t miss it so my only socials are forums for now on

oh we are always looking for people to paint our minis - anything on the site that doesn't have a good photo - PM me if you have take a good photo against a black background - you can bag some free minis - we don't need them back if you take a good photo
