New unit for the Mengil's

Ah, but WHICH Ral Partha? RPL, so that's the modern stuff they make mostly? compared to RPE who mostly sell the old stuff. it's very complex with that company/companies. What I will say in there defence always, they put the sculptor name on the blisters. Fantastic! (side note: see creation of the old company 'Activision', which was basically created over credits like that in video games)

Other way round with RPL and RPE I think. RPE do have some of the old stuff but a whole lot of other stuff (much of it nice, just not those beautiful 80s Tom Meier figs we all covet)

My fear too Michael - they are very definitely 25mm - their website is very specific about it (so horses and stuff are littler) - but I think very close to old old hammer? Here's my eBay beastman next to an older DElf and an original Mengil - think it looks pretty ok? But that's just one figure, I wonder if others have thoughts?

Repair Shop Update: I got some midhammer (!) Mengils as part of a joblot bid. Biggest pain was that the Xbows had been lost, but I managed to source some different plastic ones - and some arms where needed. Turns out I rustled up 8 figs! A unit I tell ya (Oldhammer Heresy follows - avert thine eyes)

They look great! Don’t really know the originals, so works fine together in my eyes. I’m all for combining old and new models/bits together. Can create some interesting combinations and spark new life into otherwise familiar sculpts.

The beastman looks awesome and size not an issue - can always give it added height on the base with a dynamic rock!
