New Fimir miniatures by me :)

Hello mates!
Some of you may know my painting thread for nurgle guys , but my real job and hobby is sculpting.
Lastly I've been using my spare time (wich is very few) attempting some of the oldhammer iconic creatures, and I've found real joy as always , with the monsters :)
So I decided to start with the Fimir , why? Well , because I like them , because there are just a few old models of them , and most are very hard to find and expensive in the secundary market.
I will start with a Noble Warlord and a Dirach. I was tempted to do some fianna fimm (the big guys) but I think the new Forgeworld minis are perfect for that rol as they are huge.
So here are the first WIP shots of the Noble, just the main body , basic shapes , I have decided to make his legs a bit more "demonic" look just to represent his higher caste from the regular feet of comon fimmirs
...a lot of detail , definition, face , and of course armour to be added , but you can take a first look :)

Hey guys , thank you!
I may produce them if there are some interest, or even better I could start a small kickstarter/indiegogo small project to go also for maybe Zoats,Trolls ,or "no named" demons for chaos as described on the Lost and the Damned books...
It really depends on you
Anyway lets wait for the final sculpt and see how it goes.

Ok more updates , now on the Dirach model. Its a VERY basic state , but you can see the rough pose , he will be holding a large decorated staff and a sacrificial dagger (as described in the books ;) )

Nice sculpts so far!
I really like that you have moved away from the squatty, hunched look that many fimir sculpts have. Keep it up!

Yes , I'm trying to give them a more "realistic" look, more psychally correct , as some of the old models look a bit "rubbery" in my opnion, it was 1985 anyway.... but wont be too far from the old school minis , I'll try to reach a mid point

Exciting stuff! Always on the lookout for new fimir, and always exciting to see someone building up their own clan.

Incidentally, for all of you wonderful sculptors out there: one thing I have noticed is the complete absence of suitable minis for Shearl, past or present.

The Shearls: The slaves of a Fimir settlement - exist only to work and die.

Them's the ones. They get a statline in the 3rd ed rulebook, and the special rule "A unit of Shearl must be led by a Fimm or Dirach. Shearl units without a covering mist are subject to fear of all enemies charging them, and unit they attempt to charge." But I don't think I've ever seen a picture or seen anything substantial written about them?

Ahhhh, of course... In fact, I have 3 of those (2 of them already earmarked for a project further down the line), just hadn't thought of them as such!

Only place they are referenced I remember is WHFB 3rd Edition book.

Very nice work on that sculpting. Love seeing your WIP's also. :)

Ah ok ok , I know them , is just that I have them in my mind under the name of "slaves" not shearls.

Well not so excited by now on them, you know cheaper unit with only live to serve and die...lol. If I ever have the chance to do a small crowdfounding campaign for those old models , maybe I can throw them in
as a multipart model to let people have many different minis from some single parts , I don't like the idea of sculpting like 7 - 8 different models of the same crappy guy

What other creatures you may like to see redone? This are those wich came to my mind:

- Meargh
- Zoats
- Centaur
- Random demon for the chart for unnamed demons on Chaos books

Trying to show you the face ...but my camera sucks....
I hope you can see something :) , the skull is a bit small at this point because he will have a helmet later , and we don't want him to look heady :)

These look amazing so far! Zoats would be top of my list, but as you say there are some lovely daemon concepts to work from.
