Saw this on the news today and I was impressed by the details of this thing.

:o :o :o :o :o :o that is really awasome, hope all the 3d related go cheaper and cheaper,i would love to get my hand in a machine like that.

Depending on scale, I would say £40 is a bargain to get a realistic copy of your face which you could use to convert a model with ;)

Dare tell me nobody has ever wanted his own head on a space marine/chaos warrior/bretonnian knight body...

On another hand, painting your own self has got to be the most egocentric hobby !

That's nuts, and £40 is really nothing for it. Damn, yet another way technology undermines the art of the craftsman... bring on the power failures and technological meltdown!

Awesome! I have been thinking about this lately. I didn’t know that it’s really possible to 3D print your mini-me. I would definitely try this at home and experiment a mini-me of myself, or the whole family. Interesting right?

I wonder how many people will be showing up at Asda in full LARP gear to get some D&D characters printed?

Hope they have a big fan for that dramatic hair and cloak waving look!

While I would be quite happy to see this work, I would be really surprised if this works in any kind of economical way. 3d scanning and printing is a pretty fiddly business in practice, lets just see if they can actually deliver on this, I smell marketing hyperbole again.

$349/printer? Ouch. Inevitable, but I think I'd be happier if they were more expensive.
A Liberator Pistol for every home?
