Michaels 25mm WFB Stuff...

Oh yea forgot you got a campaign brewing. You using pure citadel for the villagers? Did they have many models suitable for villagers? My oldhammer mini knowledge was pretty much 40k back in the day.

Yeah, all my Heiligsheld villagers and garrisoned troops are citadel. My undead also. The Orcs are a mix of whatever looks right, but all old models regardless of make.

LOADS of villagers from the various Townsfolk ranges and what not.

The campaign is mostly about the threat from neighbouring Sylvania so the odd old non GW Orc is not that big a deal for me.

Ill have to look into the townsfolk minis, would be nice to have some non military minis in the collection.
Citadel townsfolk can be really expensive these days. Probably they sold relatively little compared to armies. Foundry have a good range-
As do Midlam-
And if you just want nondescript peasant in bulk the Old Glory range is worth checking out-

Nice. Gonna look good when finished. The classic Zombie dragon would look nice alongside Heinrich and chums.

Thanks, the zombies are getting the quick paint treatment on account of them being arse in battle and thus likely to spend very little time on the tabletop, that and I can't be waiting another 18 months until all the models are painted.

Those Old Glory minis look great! :)

Eureka also has some useful civilians for fantasy gaming.

That's far from a definitive list, but there's good stuff in several ranges. I bought some Byzantine, Indian, African, and Middle Eastern civilians to dress up for Sci-Fi that . . . are still in boxes waiting for the green stuff. They might have run a tiny bit small, if I recall correctly, but I think they were close. I can take some comparison shots if you want. :)

Great job with latest additions. Restrained colours you painted wizard with are nice change to bright and flashy looking wizards and make him look more down to earth, almost druid-like. And hot damn that is one well painted face!

Count's black armour works a treat with his more colourful outfit and ties it all together. Really nice paint job and worthy to lead the troops.

Thank you for the kind words.

The idea behind the wizard is that is a bit of a Taal nature dude and and elementalist, so browns seem to make more sense.
Plus unlike the soldiers he is not in an army and does not have a wonderfully bright uniform to wear, so he just wears what he wants.
Thanks for the compliment on the face, it is my second favourite one.

The count is indeed very bold in colour, he needs to show his wealth and inspire the troops no?

Do you have a blog or anything like that online?

I have added an interactive map on my website, it is possibly less user friendly than how the page was done before, but honestly I find this to be a bit more fun, like how the internet used to be!
