Marauder Miniatures Dwarf Thunderers and Hammerers

I'm curious about pricing some bits up. I'm sorting out my old lead at the moment and I am putting to one side a few bits I may sell. I've got a bunch of Dwarves that I have multiple versions of and I was thinking of dropping them on ebay after stripping them. The prices of them seem crazy though £15-£17 for these.

Is that right or is that just wishful thinking on some sellers part?

Few bargains to be had on eBay these days, in my experience. It’s dominated by pro sellers with optimistic buy-it-now (BIN) prices who are happy for the listings in their shops to run and run.

Search for “Sold listings”, and look at the auctions rather than BINs, to get an idea of what people will pay for things.

Be aware that eBay are starting to demand your bank account details to sell these days. The hold on to your money for a few days before paying it into your account. It’s probably still worth it if you list during their £1 maximum fees promotions though.

Closing thought. You can always try to shift your surplus on here or on the Facebook Oldhammer trading group.

They don't for me? I've sold over a grand's worth of toy soldiers in the last week and the cash comes through immediately.

As far as the dwarves go, from sold listings they're about £3-5 a pop each when they come up for auction.

Favouritism! I had some auctions ending 31/03 & everyone’s paid up, but I won’t get the money until 05/04. Bank holiday weekend effect, I suppose.

Sometimes even sold listings are not that good of look at real market prices. There are many BIN in sold, and also prices change drastically if seller offers shipping outside his country ( most UK don't and prices that their miniatures get are much lower then those of sellers that send worldwide ). Now, there is even "I have to have it" type of biding haha where two guys meet each other with crazy bids, bids like "no chance that someone will give that much" so there are winning bids of empty boxes for 50 GBP and miniatures alike.

With money pending I got that too. Everything was fine while I was selling 20 GBP at a time, but once I got 80 GBP order, I got message that payment is pending. It seems that they will do that if you cross 250$ in one month ( for new sellers, like me ).

Also you'll have ( if it's your first time ) limit on items and $ asking/sold.

2 dieselmonkey - since you sold over grand then I don't think you got limits? What is your reputation as seller? I mean those feedbacks and all. Becuase my friend who's got over 1500 he doesn't got any limits.

2 DrMonkeyface - I think that painted got more chance to sell with base and everything just mention that in title of lot. Don't forget fee from Ebay and PayPal...

FWIW, you can filter “Sold listings” to show auctions only by clicking on the appropriate tag.

Interesting comment about sellers shipping outside the U.K. I’ve restricted myself to U.K. only sales so far to cut down on the hassle with queries about postage cost, places where tracking is not possible or parcels have a tendency to go missing etc. Maybe I need to reconsider for big ticket items, at least?

Don't think I have any limits. I've been selling since 1999 and have 2000+ feedback, lol.

On my sales there's an option to use eBay's international shipping service. All I do is ship to a UK warehouse and they send it overseas. Means I don't have to deal with international insurance etc.

haha then you got no limits and money will never pending.

2 Citizen Sade - yes haha forgot. Didn't cross my mind since I put 90% of items as BIN. I don't think you should bother with shipping cost. I for one, use registered priority air mail envelope up to 2000g. Of course depends on weight of parcel but there isn't many options considering postage so it's form 5GBP to 15GBP. That's more less affordable, and that is price for worldwide fixed. But most seller asking arms and legs for shipping, I mean 5GBP miniature and 22GBP shipping outside UK?

2 Dieselmonkey - what is you account on ebay so I can check it, I mean if you sell Warhammers?

edit : don't get me wrong I don't know what Royal Mail charges or their prices. Now to think of it, I remember when I was sending one painting to NYC, and Gallery owner told me not to ship with EMS because it's expensive but I did anyway. EMS 3 days took from Croatia to NYC, and it cost around 55GBP. It was 2012, but I have looked at USPS week ago. I don't think I could send something like that from NYC to Croatia for 75$ Express, more like 2 in front of 75. But I drifted away.

Money pending, I will receive 17th April someting that was paid at the end of March. Or process will speed up if I got feedback? or delivered check but as is, feedback is something that I don't understand and also sluggish postal updates if at all. I mean, they can hold money 45 days max I think then it's yours.

Thanks for the info, I may hang onto them for a bit longer. It's probably more hassle than worth at the moment.

I have an etsy shop that I sell my sculptures and castings on, so I've had some experiences with selling stuff around the world. Since Brexit the shipping prices have gone up and there was a falling out between RM and USPS before Christmas that put shipping up as well. I'd probably only sell outside the UK at a real push now.
