Leadpest's Small Wood Elf Army

Leadpest

Serf
Right, this little force of elves has been languishing in a case (one of the original black army cases!) in the wardrobe for about a year. I think it will just about total 1000 points tooled-up in WFB3.

Wood elves were the first army I started collecting when I was 9 years old and then it was on to goblins, skaven, dark elves; all sorts really. But wood elves have always struck a chord with me so a couple of years ago, when all of this (Oldhammer) started, I promised myself a small force of old school elves. I plan on bringing these chaps to Thantsants 'The Engines of Avalone' siege game for BOYL 2014.

I am now onto an undead army to battle against them with some forest goblin allies but I rarely paint so this may take a while..

They look great man, real bright and clean painting style you have there- I dig it.

Cheers mate! I use a white undercoat and generally just a couple of highlights. Pretty old school especially with the goblin green bases.

I have a green base "problem" myself, I think it suits these guys perfectly.
And sorry to stumble into the middle of your pics like that :P

Very nice! One of the things I really enjoy about this hobby is how different people can paint the same model and end up with something completely different.

Superb! I agree that your clean bright painting style really accentuates the wonderful Goodwin Sculpts quite nicely.

Cheers,

Blue
