Lead & Steel - 2026

Doug and Clive set it up, but Charlie took over with someone a few years back, I'm not sure if Doug Cowie is still with the company but he isn't running things anymore.

We're still reeling from the sheer amount of fantastic folks that showed up to Lead & Steel 2025 this past weekend and the fun times that they brought to the event.
But one thing's for certain, if you all want to come back - we're going to need a bigger room!

So we've only gone and done it, we've booked the big hall at the Crookes Social Club, so we can use all that lovely space for even more games, activities and vendor stalls.

Less than a year to go until Lead & Steel happens again, so get painting and planning, and we hope to see you there on the day.

Was super looking forward to this, but I see its Easter weekend, I know at least one other oldhammerer who is forced into family stuff over Easter. Is the normal landing spot the first weekend in April and just inauspiciously coincides with Easter this year?

Yeah, I know the coincidence of the Easter Weekend is a bummer - we're not super pleased with it either, but that was the closest weekend to the usual end of March date we could get at the venue. And no, there are no firm plans to always run Easter Bank Holiday weekend, for the very reason that you've raised yourself.

If we run earlier, we have the risk of clashing with the Sheffield Chillcon, and I think Salute is something like a week later, so we're kind of sandwiched in there at the end of March. But in 2027, all things being well, we will be trying for the last week in March, rather than the first weekend in April.
