L'amour's chaos figures (and friends)

l'amour

Vassal
Hello all. I thought I'd finally post for the first time after an extended period of lurking.

I love looking at everybody's figures on this forum, so here are some glossy figure from my chaos warband. They're a bit of a mix of figures. Some Citadel, Grenadier, Essex, Foundry and one from the Gardens of Hecate kickstarter. I hope you like them!

Actually I thought that I don't like gloss varnish, but your painting style on those miniatures has disabused me! In my opinion the gloss flatters the paint job.

Thanks, all!

Yeah, there's a time and a place isn't there! It doesn't suit everything. Many thanks for your kind comment!

Re: L'amour's chaos figures

Those figures are great/lovely. That giant is a work of actual art!

Welcome, from a fellow Yorkshire dweller!

Re: L'amour's chaos figures

Unashamedly shiny! Shuperb. The shiny reds are so eye-catching, and like you say, it works. The apparently non-shiny giant is really good, love that sickly blotchy skin.

Re: L'amour's chaos figures

I'll join in on the "hey gloss does work!" band wagon. Interesting and intriguing minis looking great. The chaos thug types are unfamiliar who are they by?

Re: L'amour's chaos figures

Thanks, everyone! I'm glad I'm not the only one who like them glossy! The giant does have a thick coat of gloss on it too, but it's not too glare-y in the photo.

Those thugs are from Foundry's Viking range. There are a lot of gnarly brutes in that range.

Thanks once again!

Hi gang. I wanted to share a couple of snaps of some of my (somewhat) recently painted figures.

These guys are oldhammer in spirit if not in actual age. They are mainly Perry plastics with a few heads and tentacles from other kits.
From left to right: Regis the Befouler, Chunder Thunderstrap, Lord Crabsticks and The Thing. This gang of horrible villains are out to terrorise the local peasantry and spread some good old fashioned misery.

Here are some of the local wierdos that the gang will have to contend with (or make friends with).

Any self respecting town under threat from an aspiring chaos champ will need a militia and this is the sorry rabble that have been stuck with the job. The banner may indicate just how used to losing these guys are.

But they do have a big gun so it's not all doom and gloom.

I've got loads more fantasy figures to paint to go along with this lot but sticking to just one project is basically impossible so it could take a while.
Thanks for looking! I'd love to hear any comments or slander you might have!

Very, very nice. I do like your colour selections and clean paint jobs. Lovely set of models.
