Not as yet, but my idea is "Basic Bretonnia" if you will - knights. archers, men-at-arms, and Damsels. I'm not getting Pegasi or Hippogriffs at this time, I think my only monster is the Unicorn ridden by the Fay Enchantress and she isn't really part of the list. She will be more a "special guest".

I'm thinking my force is establishing a new realm in the Border Princes.
 
Hi All. I've been having a tough Summer for health challenges, and I am currently in recovery from surgery. I haven't been doing much hobby work. BUT, I did get a new camera and I wanted to show one mini I did get done: A 5th Edition WFB Bretonnian Sorceress REF:9947020303001 from 1996-97. The one I owned then was a favorite, I found a replacement in blister and decided to pay the price - $50USD - to have a good copy to start from. She is painted with AMMO Atom, Army Painter, and Vallejo paints over white primer.

The camera flash made the mini look much rougher than she actually does, hopefully I can some better photos later.

Really lovely sculpt that, liked the early heroic era (4th edition?) Bretonnians, never liked it as much when they went all grimdark especially with the foot troops.
 
She definitely has that 80s fantasy vibe going on. Looks lovely! As others have said, I hope you feel better. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, and may your painting help improve your spirits.

For the sheer effect I used a flesh highlight and a pinker, deeper flesh mix and painted them on the bodice area directly over the primer. Then I used Army Painter "Marine Mist" as the dress color, and for the sheer area I made it into a glaze with Liquitex Glaze Medium and carefully brushed this glaze over the bodice in layers until it blended with the rest of the dress. The glaze especially in any folds of the cloth and just a little over the most prominent parts of the bosom gives the effect.

For blonde hair I use khakis, tans, sand, etc to establish the base tones, wash it all with a brown wash like Army Painter Brown Tone, sometimes with a little Flesh Wash as well, and after allowing it to dry thoroughly I then drybrush carefully with the khaki, tan, or sand color I used with a touch of yellow added. Army Painter make a yellow called "Babe Blonde" that I used here. Depending on the tone you're looking for you can drybrush progressively all the way up to white. You can always add more brown wash sparingly and then drybrush highlights again until you have the effect you like.

I hope to have some Marines to show before too long.
