So, while I was painting up the quick Slaaneshi warband, I decided to do one for each of the four chaos powers, and this is the result for Khorne:
So, first up is the Bloodthirster, the Greater Daemon of Khorne:
Admittedly, compared to the modern versions, he looks more like a cartoon pitbull than some kind of mind-warping horror from the Nether dimensions, but he's got his own goofy charm:
Next up are the lesser Daemons, the Bloodletters:
Again, particularly odd models, their anatomy is bizarre with extra elbows, bendy spines, and wrists that *really* like to snap, but they look considerably more disturbing than the Bloodthirster in my opinion. Also, in a range that's notorious for not ranking up base to base in units, these really do take the cake.
Next are a couple of particularly sinister looking Chaos Champions:
The first guy is an Eldar Farseer conversion, and the second is a conversion of a Chaos Mage. As he's not armed, and mages are a no-no for Khorne, I've given him an Imp to hold his sword until he's ready to use it. The first champion also has a helper imp to record the deaths of his enemies to read out in blasphemous temple rites.
Next up is the immortal Chaos Champion, Slambo:
One of my favourite Chaos models, he's so simple, compared to some of the other Chaos Champions, but he just oozes menace. Slambo also commands a unit of Chaos Warriors:
These are just basic Chaos Warriors, with a couple of light conversions.
And finally, the Warband leader, a mutated Chaos Champion on Juggernaut:
Mutation-wise, he's been given the reward of The Mark of Khorne giving him a particularly impressive Khornate horns, and the attributes of an Additional Eye, a Beweaponed Extremity, and Wings. As well as his claw arm, and his huge axe, I've given him a helper imp as well to hold a Daemonic Sword until he chooses to use it.
And finally a couple more group shots:
Thanks for reading!
