Kev Adams Orc Space Marauders

I like how there's a homage sculpt based on the Goff Nob used for Ghaz in the Ere We Go Ork army, and a sculpt of 2nd ed Ghaz who was no doubt based on the Nob used in Ere We Go.

Kinda looks like Ghaz's lil brother is wearing his old clothes.

Is Andrew May related to Stephen May? Reason I ask is that I notice that the latter has created some funky old school scouts (link)
They are brothers I believe.
Stephen’s kickstarted these sculpts which caused some bad blood with the backers… Anyway, good to see them publicly released and available via another company!
If you like upscaled Scout Marines, Tortuga Bay are preparing to release some too! https://www.instagram.com/tortuga_bay_studio/p/DOBFELPiCu-/

And… talking of scale, these orcs look a little silly on these 25mm bases with their toes hanging off the edges! ;)

oh? bad blood as in.. Oh.. I can see why now..

they are meant to have their toes hanging off. Shows just how big they are! that's the Orky way

KS has been taken down after a letter from GW, see https://forum.oldhammer.org/threads/ghamak.39304/post-137805 wonder if and when you get your money back? Presumably if it had not yet finished not an issue, but if KS had taken funds or given the funds to the creator?

Description of copyrighted material: Ghazghkull Thraka is a character from the ORKS faction in WARHAMMER 40,000 and the characters and units that make up this range have a unique and identifiable appearance, instantly recognised by hobbyists. Please see below an article including our original miniature for Ghazghkull Thraka for your reference:https://www.warhammer-community.com...-krumps-all-kompetition-with-his-kustom-gear/

Description of infringing material: In designing these models, Andrew May has produced characters which so closely resembles those of our ORKS range that it cannot be said to be coincidental, nor can it be said to be a creative happenstance from consulting similar source material.

Out of curiosity did Kev sculpt the original? Thought'd I'd do a little side by side...

Yes, he did.

not too surprised cause.. they were very much on model to the point of being almost direct copies, though it's a bit of a shame really but they were... a bit too close and the paint scheme didn't help them. If you are gonna do that, try to hide it in the paint job.

There were rumours I heard that he was up for a reissue under the 'we need your money, even more so with the HUGE this week'
