Re: Junes Fun Painting Challenge

I've got most of my basing done...just the tufts and details to add....then its onto the shields....which it turns out I'm a couple short of! :? I'll have to keep my eyes out for a few more.

If anyone has 3 of these please let me know!

Cheers,

Blue

Re: Junes Fun Painting Challenge

Getting there - slowly but surely getting there. Very slowly, its 5 years since we had a summer so I think I can be forgiven for slowing down a little :D

Re: Junes Fun Painting Challenge

That's 7 Deathwing and their Interrogator Chaplain and 4 Blood Angels down. Hoping to finish 4 more Blood Angels tomorrow, then only 4 to go!

Re: Junes Fun Painting Challenge

They said it couldn't be done...but Steve has actually finished painting something for the first time ever (although your definition of "finished" might be slightly different to mine).

Thanks John for suggesting this. I've now got the bug! :D

Re: Junes Fun Painting Challenge

Those look great Steve! I live collecting naked figures but its not till you've painted aisle that you truly appreciate the character of the sculpts to the fullest. I can't wait to see more from you.

Cheers,

Blue

Re: Junes Fun Painting Challenge

Well done Steve, keep up the good work.

Seeing what you've painted - I may have something you'd but interested in, but knowing your vast eclectic collection - you've more than likely already got it? http://solegends.com/citcat19892suml/c8 ... 0-1-01.htm ,No.2.

I'm going into the loft, I maybe sometime!

All the best

Re: Junes Fun Painting Challenge

Well done Steve, they look great - now off you go and prepare for next months challenge :D

BTW I was thinking that the 3rd challenge will be the first themed one and. given that it ends on Halloween, it will have an undead/horror, theme to it. Of course if thats not your slice of Barnbrack you can paint something else.

Hope to have some photos of my own later in the day.

Re: Junes Fun Painting Challenge

Thanks for the comments guys, and you're right Paul - I probably do already have that one but thanks for thinking of me.

Already got August's challenge planned John!

Re: Junes Fun Painting Challenge

Very nice Steve, they look like they just got out of the gym and very hungry!

Brilliant idea, though my undead army is mostly very recent stuff, I do have a couple of night horrors/undead samourai/old wights to fit both oldhammer and horror themes.
If anyone's willing to donate a spare Nagash , I'm even willing to make him return to glory... :D (few ideas in mind)

About this month's challenge, it's heading a very bad way for me :
- I managed to add models to the ones enlisted at first
- I couldn't resist stripping/preparing/basing the RT adventurers I got my hands on...
- I've begun to build some of the houses whose plans are in the WD140...
- I've decided that this was the perfect time to try OSL for the first time on the dread...

Anyway, I mean to finish everything in time. Hope I can get some paint and a model case in the car without the missus knowing when packing things to go on hollidays (fingers crossed).

Re: Junes Fun Painting Challenge

Undead theme, hmmm.

Bonus points for anyone who gets Frank'N'Stein from Blood Bowl painted!

Re: Junes Fun Painting Challenge

But but but.... just sent all my undead to Basement Dweller! Ah well, I'll have to go see what I can dig up, badum tish!

Re: Junes Fun Painting Challenge

Doesn't have to be undead - just horrory/halloweeny so think outside the box. Spider riding snotlings or spiders or elves...
