Inquisitor fan magazine?

It wasn't in-house, it was a fanzine, as far as I'm aware.

It was produced by Armorcast, so although they had a license to produce some GW IP models, it was never canon.

Because it was produced by Armorcast, who held certain GW licenses, I tend to think of it as a notch above fanzine level.

It sometimes reviewed non-citadel miniatures

It had rules for using non-Citadel/GW models in 40k.

For example, an article on using something called "kryomeks" as a 40k army, complete with army list.

There was an article with an army list for squats. This was important, because squats were in the second edition "black codex" and never updated.

Here's a page of that:

Another issues had super-complicated rules for using titans in 40k.

The squat list used had datafaxes for non-40k vehicles. Then ones shown in the picture above are by scotia grendel

Wow! That's kick arse Orjetax!

That was one of the things that got me excited actually. I recall the rumour that the GW staffers had a sht tonne of photos of their own kitbashed & star wars vehicles etcetera ready to put into RT, but couldn't due to legal shmeegle :(

Would have been ace to see them all.

This mag reminded me of that. Is it a rare publication to get hold of? Are there any "other" ways of seeing it?

Cheers for the info guys. Great stuff!

My perception:
They are uncommon on EBay, but they do not command a high price. It was a US publication I believe, so more common where I am.

There are several now. People asking too high prices to my eye; so would expect them to stick around.

I think the challenge is if you are focused on a particular issue, waiting for that one to pop up.

I do not know a way to get the info other than in print.

A blog called War Games Dork has reviews of several issues so you can orient to what interests you most.

Not to dampen your enthusiasm, but I have found most of what I have been exposed to from Inquisitor to be fairly uninteresting. But there is some good stuff. And great photos, though black and white. As always, tastes vary.
