Indelible Ink Stuido - some painting what I gone and done...

Street Judges & Perps

Just wrapped up this load of Warlord Judge Dredd minis for a client, and had a lot of fun finding out just how detailed this range is - even if they are WAY taller and thinner than those made by previous companies that have had a got at the licence.

The client that commissioned these is being a bit secretive and not letting me say who they are. But if you see these guys on the other side of the gaming table, then I guess you'll be in on the secret.

INDELIBLE INK at SPRU

You may or may not have heard that I'm going to be giving two Q&A sessions at SPRU in Nottingham on 26/09/26, both on terrain building techniques and making a unique battlefield out of stuff that you probably already have laying about the house - so come along and pick my brain, because who knows what might fall out.

ugh.. soo many oldhammer stuff in the lead belt and non (apart from salute really but ... not really) Local to me or the south east in general..

I wanna set up my own oldhammer event.. with Blackjack! and Hookers!... okay, forget the Blackjack and the Hookers... okay, no real shortage of some nice places to hold something but if that was all that was needed, It would be no problem ¬_¬;

hope it goes well for ya

The Guys from SPRU

Everyone's been posting the swag they came away from Spru with, and so I thought that I'd jump on the bandwagon and share these three guys that I picked up between giving my Q&As and catching up with people - oh, and meeting new people, obviously.

The guys on either side are a couple of nice, chunky metal minis by Grim Hive, a nice, passionate guy from Hungary. I added the hair to the guy on the left, changing his name from "Trooper Skullsmasha" to "Trooper Mustaine", but the guy on the right is pretty much unmodified.

The chap in the centre is one of the many excellent sci-fi civilians by Mammoth Miniatures who seems to be walking his partner's fish-thing (a mini by Vae Victis), in the vein of those often seen exercising a cockapoo that belongs to their other half.

SPACE LORDS #3

After giving some terrain talks at SPRU and then spending the next weekend in Nottingham catching up with the folks I didn't see at SPRU, I then managed to get a pisser of a cold and so have been behind on my painting schedule recently.

Starting to turn that around now, starting with another great batch of retro sci-fi minis from the Space Lords range by EM4 Miniatures, an essential range if you're wanting that Rogue Trader feel for your science fiction heroes and NPCs alike.

Already looking forward to the next batch of these.

Selection of Sci-Fi So-and-Sos

A pretty random selection of minis, some of which I've gotten my hands on and painted incredibly recently, and some that have been sitting on the shelf, primed and ready to be worked on for a good couple of months too.

You have minis from Bad Squiddo, Crooked Dice, GW and some others that I really can't remember right now - I picked the two space halflings up at Peachycon this year, but I'm buggered if I can remember who I bought them from.

Judge Dredd Block Gang & Mega City One Civilians

Another commission from my mysterious and anonymous client, this time for a Block Gang and a bunch of civilians to fill in the roles in the games that they're planning on running in the near future.

Again most of these are from Warlord Games and they were a fun set of minis to paint.

Ork Slavers - Minis By Big Mister Tongue & printed by 3D Kingdoms

I know these guys are based on the iconic Helsreach Ork Slavers, but to me they look and feel more like the touring line-up of an Ork heavy metal band.

And yeah, I know that mostly Orks are green, but where's the fun in them all being so samey and uniform? Part of the fun of Orks is that they're totally rebellious and crazy, right?

One of our local Mordheim players does blue orcs and they look great - as do yours! Do love your goggles, they look really good.
Thank you very much for the kind feedback - don't get me wrong, I have nothing against green Orks! I just sometimes want to do something a little different and mix it up. I even like to have humans with red, blue or green skin in a Sci-Fi setting to make things more interesting. The goggles are another thing that I enjoy doing, and I often find that once I've painted in the reflections, the whole mini seems to come to life.
