Indelible Ink Stuido - some painting what I gone and done...

Simon Roberts.

Adam Frank used to be prolific posting his offerings on the Original Minuatures Sculpts For Sale FB page. Hasn't popped up there for ages. Could be a really good sculptor but feels like he rushes a little bit so sometimes come across 'blobby'.

I agree that his sculpting style lacks precision and the finer detail that would be demanded of a product produced by a mainstream gaming company. The thing that appeals to me is that he's often creating proxies and takes on stuff that's either going for silly prices on Ebay or never got produced by the folks at Citadel back in the day. These days it's getting harder for people without significant disposable income to afford RT era minis, so alternatives like this become all the more appealing as a result.

I feel he has the capacity to produce really good work, some of his orc heads are wonderful. Just seems he gets bored or rushes things out. By no means the worst sculpts I have seen.

Rogue Trader Characters - metal minis sculpted by Adam Frank, painted for L27's Metal Miniature Musings

Really pleased to have been asked to paint up a set of these and being given the additional challenge of sticking as close to the colour scheme of the art that inspired them as possible.

There's something really satisfying about translating the choices that the original artist made on the page into something that exists in three dimensions and also tackling the sculpting methods of the minis themselves at the same time.

Space Lords - metal Minis by and painted for eM4 BeQuest Miniatures

Pleased to be able to paint up another set of vintage Space Lords minis for eM4 and share them with you.

This is a great range of characterful minis with a real old-school style to them that would fit in with any other scifi miniatures from Rogue Trader right up to modern sculpts.

Imperial Army Troopers

3D printed minis, sculpted by Big Mister Tongue and printed by 3D Kingdoms

These guys are part of different Rogue Trader-influenced sets of great old-school style minis, but I couldn't resist painting them up and shooting them as a unit.

Is that her official name?
Oh.. now that is a problem..

Olivia Neutron-Bomb was a BOYL exclusive by John Pickford, based on a piece by Martin McKenna. That print is.. well, as the John Pickford model was pretty close to the original art, that model is also pretty close to the original art. so.. it kinda starts getting a bit tricky cause two people doing a model for the same style based on the same art... is gonna end up looking pretty close to each other..

For reference, using lost Mins for the art, there is the original inspiration art:

and this is John Pickford's take on it:
