Ind , nippon & araby inspiration!!!

will have multiple arms like a hindu demon
^_^; Hey anyone remeber 'Monsters in my pocket'? (of course, who doesn't?) and how they got in trouble after series 1 because of Kali.. calling a Hindu deity as a monster oh dear.. then they did Ganesha and Hanuman.. then afterwards, there was a recall and they didn't re-issue them. Hindu's don't like there gods being called Monsters it appears. ^_^

Haha I remember them but didn't know that they recalled them hava ..... That's fair though haha

It was more a tiny bit later and mostly in the UK. they got in trouble with series 1's Kali, but Ganesha and Hanuman in series 4 were the major re-call job. and when they re-issued ones, them three weren't.

I've only really got series 1 though (got a couple of later ones.. got the sticker book with 'cards' from back in the day too)

Yeah, I've seen most of the 28mm Qin era stuff that's out there, but none of it quite works for me. I think I'd like to do them as modular figures, with a bunch of main bodies and then separate arms, apart for the characters.

Although I'd like a very unified appearance, I'm not sure I want full monopose units. I've got enough of them with the Slann!

I was more of the M.U.S.C.L.E. ( Kinnikuman) era of collectible figures… 😉

Oh dear! I haven't seen that since I was . . . well . . . it was a double bill at a drive in with The Final Countdown, and I think I fell asleep in the back of my dad's little yellow '78 Honda CVCC, which was maybe not too old then. I completely forgot that scene, assuming I ever saw it. I should really rewatch that one of these days.

Although no match for dieselmonkey's or Kim's, I am putting together an Araby allied contingent for this year's Old World Army Challenge.

These are looking great love the addition of a few Araby dwarfs, checkpoint for some really nice Arab dwarfs

I love how we've basically used the same figures, lol. There are very few actual Araby looking models in the old Citadel ranges.

Your blog post also made me remember I started formatting a 3rd Ed Army list for them:

As far as Cathay goes, I've been tempted to commission a range of Terracotta Warrior models for years, as I want to do an army made up solely of them with a Cathay Necromancer as the leader, and play them as undead.
I actually made a bunch of these almost a decade ago for Scotia Grendel. But, as with everything else I've done for them, they haven't made it to production yet.

Oh this is fantastic! I am aiming at the lower bar of an allied contingent list - but this is so useful. I am trying to figure out rules for flying carpets and camels, and what you've written about genies is super helpful.
