Identifying engineer / war machine crew

My turn to do a "can anyone identify this mini" ... so picked it up as part of a larger lot I bought for the war machines. Obviously thrown in as a crew member. Alas the base tab has been filed at some point. Has a backpack that is separate. Quite a big mini, grid is 5mm, doesn't really scale with GW dwarfs so I don't think I'll be using it myself, but I'm curious where it's from. Any ideas?

I recognise that Tab style!

lets think.. last letter on tab is a P, looks like the year is 07 or 03... gonna have to think.. you sure it's a dwarf? A tall skinny dwarf with no beard?

I kinda assumed probably because it was along with some other short fellas, but maybe it's supposed to be a human now you point out those obvious things. I shall tweak the thread title!

Nothing on the back. Sorry couple of those pics are a little soft.
Included one shot for scale.

something with that tab is just bothering me.. I know it's been filed, though looks like "P 03" is left. So.. either a 2003 model (most likely) or ID tag of 03.. I think year.. looks like a bit of a raised area for the name to be on only get 4 - 5 letters before it.. surely can't be too hard to figure out a miniature maker who made ones in 2003 with a name _____P.. also.. this is probebly gonna be pointless but looks like a tiny bit of the letters weren't fully filed away.. don't suppose a bit of talc or chalk (or maybe a pencil rubbing) can make them a bit more visible..

almost feel I can see a EG at the start.. or something like that.. well.. not sure about the E but 90% sure that is a G there.. but that doesn't bring any company to mind..

Well pencil and ink didn't show anything clearly. Possibly an "S" at the beginning in the right light, but that might be wishful thinking. Still the "P 03" is confirmed.
Its a fun looking mini either way!
It is. I can't quite decide about it, I think the somewhat bandy leg'd sculpt has yet to appeal fully. One for the pile I suspect until a good use comes up.

Ah! Privateer Press's Warmachine Mercanaries PIP41005 Jonne.

Who the hell are Privateer Press? Looking online.. started in 2000s USA, last year Steamforge brought the rights for some of their games.. that's all I know so.. so the tab probably read ©PP 03
one of these days someone should make a list of base tabs for IDing.. the one on lost minis is.. lacking

I was into Hordes/Warmachine for some time, over ten years ago. Still have all the stuff (and of course even more stuff unpainted... I got my name for a reason...)

If anyone is interested, there are some reports of our games and mini tournaments.

Ah well done! I was browsing Rackham Confrontation and Freebooter's Fate catalogues yesterday with no success, didn't think to try Warmahordes.

I've one old friend (not in the UK) who got massively into it. I did have their version of Blood Bowl - called Grind for a while, but I'm pretty sure I sold it a year or two ago now. I quite like the Warjacks as a concept, but then I've always been partial to dreadnoughts and dwarf war golem type things! Never actually played a game.

Understand Warmachine has been released as a new edition under a different company (and that all the models are no longer available in metal…).

I did say Steamforged brought alot of their games, so it's probably them. I have some Experience with Steamforged but not alot.

I quite liked the game, very tactical. Also, the difference between the war machine factions and the hordes faction was done in a clever way. It was one game basically, where as a warcaster you had to manage limited resources, as a [forgot the name of the hordes equivalent] you could spend as much resources as you wanted, but using too much caused negative effects. Each of the 'generals' was unique, and with their skills made the same basic army play different by just changing the leader.
