Identification help – possible Samurai / Ashigaru Imperial Guard?

Hello everyone,
I recently came across some old Imperial Guard metal miniatures and I’m having trouble identifying them properly.

They look very different from the usual Cadians, Mordians, or Vostroyans – the armour and helmets seem to have a clear Samurai / Ashigaru influence.

I’ve seen some people refer to them online as “Samurai Imperial Guard” or “Ashigaru Guard”, but I couldn’t find any official catalogue entry or solid reference. Could you please help me confirm what they actually are, and if they were ever part of an official limited release or just a very short-lived range?

Also, if they are indeed as rare as they appear to be (I can’t find any for sale on eBay or other marketplaces), what would you say is a fair market value if I ever decided to sell them?

New one on me, does the base tab have any writing on it? So is this one mini from a set or does it seem to just be a one-off mini, in which case much more likely to be from one of the random adventurers ranges - if it's Citadel. Anyhow we've some quite knowledgeable folk who might well be along soon with their thoughts!
 
yep, there is a tab but can't see it to see what it says... also, might be the shot but don't get any samurai vibes of that... a couple more angles would be of great help

I’m adding some more photos here to try and identify them more precisely. On the base, I think I can read something like “F&G” followed by a copyright logo and a number.

I bought this miniature together with some old school Imperial Guard figures.

Does this ring a bell for anyone? Could it help narrow down what range these figures belong to?

The F&G made it pretty easy to identify from the list of manufacturers on the LostMinis Wiki. Then did a little Googlefu to find pictures which confirmed the suspicion.

Find it fun to do a little detective work! :lol:
