I started sorting out a plastic Ork army and ended surrounded by Mercenaries...

We all know that one does not simply catalogue and arrange a single army when there's enough spare time available.

As I was finishing writing down, bagging and relocating an old (not for this forum' standards) Ork plastic & resin army, I thought it was obvious and necessary that the next step was rearranging the next 2 drawers containing what I've always called "my retirement plan", AKA my Dogs of War, Kislev, Halfling, Dwarf and Ogre hybrid army (that's because I discovered my Dwarf Catapult was missing the 4 wheels a year ago when I started posting in this very forum, and I wanted to be sure everything else was OK).

That was my first error.

Three hours later I had bagged 85 citadel halflings (not those ugly Lumpin Croop's Fighting Cocks, I'm a man of wealth and taste) and a desk literally covered in mercenaries. In the next days I'll be cataloguing the DoW, and writing down all the missing crossbows, polearms, etc. So be prepared if you've got spare parts or leftovers.

I'm writing down some bits I've lost, like the Sheik Shufti's Dakishir' Scimitar and his crescent moon shield. EDIT: I found the shield inside the paymaster’s box.

Up to this moment, I've bagged 34 kislevites -Winged lancers, archers and Gryphon Legion-, 7 mercenary ogres (the marauder ones, I already have all the good ones up to the ugly ones in the DoW army book), Lorenzo, Borgio and5 Desert Dogs. Voland's are next, then the cannons, the crossbowmen and the pikemen (I guess).

Toys! Great stuff. Every now and then I sort through my bits and pieces and label things in lieu of actually painting them :) Always good to have projects planned. My main "not really started" projects are: Chaos Dwarfs, Eldar (since the ones I have painted I didn't paint), 40K Orks, Dwarfs, Imperial Guard. I think everything else is "ongoing".

Do list what you're missing, you never know what's floating around. I know I have one of those gun carriages for instance somewhere and I think I might have some Kislevites, but missing horses as I have half a memory of trying to find some STLs to use for the horses years back.

Also, my new phone's camera is too good for me, I'm still adapting (this one has a macro mode; all my old photos hace a minimum focus distance of 13 cm, this is kind of magic).

Awesome collection! The Dogs of War were released when I had no hobby money, I wish I could have gotten some, especially the Galloper Guns and Voland's Venators. I did find a really nice Lucrezia Belladonna this year, she was one of my "Holy Grails" along with Repanse D'Lyonesse.

Nice work putting this minotaur back in action.
