I'll bring a Sharpie..
To be fair that's all I did last year! Had a good mooch about and did my display cabinet ogling. Chit chatted and sunk a few beers in the pub in the evening until closing. Long chat with Tony Ackland and some game watching the following day. I just did Friday afternoon and Saturday morning and I think that gave me a decent taste (Friday being quieter). Looks like the Travelodge in Newark still has rooms!I am keen to come, though in all fairness I suspect I won't bring anything to play, rather just hang around for a few hours and look and point and make ooooh noises if that is OK?
Everyone I spoke to was lovely and friendly. Yep a lot of people know each other well from having played over the years, but despite not being the most gregarious of folk I didn't feel sidelined. Hoping I can make it this year and push a few minis around (although I think a lot of that organising happens on Facebook) as well as general atmosphere soaking. Hopefully the lords of chaos will let me finish the BOYL booking software for 2026... gahhh what a year so far!But I am a bit shy/self conscious and have a feeling that some oldhammer people are not keen on me based on interactions elsewhere, plus I feel a bit like the new kid and worry about acceptance and all that sort of stuff.
Are these valid concerns, am I being paranoid?

Myself and two others will be running a Siege of Praag game using Mordheim rules based partially on how Helsreach works!! It'll be on half of one of the big tables this year, but in the future we'd like to go full-scale with it.I know for a fact there are many 'big table' ideas keen to get a look in if Helsreach won't be there. It feels about time for sonething fresh, not that Helsreach isn't/wasn't impressive.
