Bit of a stretch pun-wise. But then they all are! Guess that's part of the fun of it. And it would be appropriate to do a painting challenge as a tribute to the man, for sure. Maybe a bonus one?

Posting that reminded me of just how many of those box set, scenario or blister art covers he did. Aside from the 2nd edition cover and both starter sets I think he did McDeath, Bagrian's last stand, Chaos Marauders, Pyschostyene Dwarfs, Drastik plastik Orcs, Chaos Dwarf Renegades, Dwarf Lords of Legend, The Death Commandos, the Zombie Dragon, skeleton horde..... There will be more but that's a lifetime's worth of direct miniatures to pick from before you even consider his artwork or Eavy Metal showcases and guides. Which probably just underlines how talented he was.

And as for painting threads, I'm sure there's scope for 2 at any given time and it'd be cool to see what people might paint up given that much freedom and his influence on so much of our yoofs.

Mighty fine, guess I'd better get caught up on some banners and buttons ... just got a less fun VAT return to sort out first!

My problem is that I have so many I don't know where to start! Usually with painting challenges I try and bring something to the front of the queue that was in danger of not being painted... but in this case do I have more of a duty to crack on with my Empire army or my Norse, etc.? Will rummage through the leadpile presently.

That is so many it's verging on showing off! I will be sticking with the more traditonal single (maybe stretching to 2) figure!

They look great and I really like the grayish skin tones.
