'how to do oldhammer': a second attempt

since 2026 was a no go, i'm proposing to try again and run this in 2027.
participating players to bring twenty figures and a character figure that were either cheap second hand or are currently commercially available. the game will be a wfb2 / wh40k rogue trader mash-up. characters should be a champion or level 1 wizard / psyker. each phase will be simultaneous, with any conflicts resolved in initiative order.

i will gm, but will seek to bring my three units of scarecrows, in case anyone wishes to join in on the day. if @lenihan can make it, he will perhaps do the same.
@inchmurrin had also offered to post his fantasy / chaos figures and @Deadestdai his undetermined / lost & the damned figures down for someone else to use; i'm not sure if these offers remain.
 
I'm not gonna say anything BUT.. I will reveal that I kinda want to see if I can go to BOYL next year. I'm trying to work myself up so I can ^_^; though right now it would depend on a number of factors. (I did wonder about trying to go to Colours this year, noticing it was right next to a train station which would make travel easier and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't need to do alot of train swapping by going via London. But I looked at the train fair It would cost me and basically ... turned out not a great idea. what happened to the days when Trains did 'cheap days out, go by train' where people from places like London could go to the coast for the day as a family or stuff... I might be really out of touch but ... I would need someone with me but £150 for 2 returns just seams.. stupid. I was sure there was a big thing about trains going a bit cheaper when cars became more popular, which lead to the decide and Beaching kinda helped save the rail way.. but are they THAT bad now?... anyway.. I know it'll be more for BOYL, and then you got some travelodge or whatever they call cheap places these days, which aren't that cheap but..

IF (it won't be last minute but won't be till next year I can really figure out how possible this is) I can go. I would like to take part in some things ^_^ No experience with WFB2 rules, and rusty on most warhammer play (been too long since I was able to get a game in) but.. I would be interested. IF I'm able (still doing big IF for a few reasons).. well, with the contruction rules, probebly my easiest option would be fantasy / Skaven but since this is a mixed game, and there is already quite alot of fantasy, I might see about a RT group. I'll have to read up on your rules for what can and can't be included before deciding on a group though.
 
I'll definitely be looking to go. Will give me the push to get back on with the rest of the dwarfs. I've kind of been hijacked by blood bowl gnomes for the moment, but hoping to have them all done by the league cup final day in a few weeks
