taps into the same kind of weird cosmic devourer as Galactus added to a creepy fruit based father christmas clown. In space. I dunno, it's just bloody wrong

Off topic again ;) But speaking of devourers.
Wormball!
A kids picture book by A. Mazing part of the A. Mazing monsters series I read to my little brother when I was about 9 or 10
wormball_on.jpg

The worm eats only spherical objects, starts with marbles then footballs and so on, and it grows each time it eats, until it gets so big that wormball is sent on a rocket to eat the moon at the end of the book. My little brother had recurring nightmares for weeks about wormball returning to eat the next biggest spherical object closest to the moon once it got hungry again.

Hell, I loved those books! Completely forgotten about those.

There was one who looked like a wookie that eats petrol.

Strange, that cosmic oral-fixative fear theme.

Those monsters definitely need to be statted up for OD&D / Oldhammer.

Sort of, but not quite back on topic, I'd always assumed that spacemarines had sacrificed their humanity (including their reproductive organs) in order to meld with their powered armour, and were unable to remove it. Obviously hat's not the case in the 40kverse because Dreadnoughts have "old marines" sloshing around in a foetal poistion as their wetware.

Yeah, the Future Shock/dehumanising aspect of that picture is what disturbs me I think. Does sir dress to the left or to the right? And do these armoured underpants care?

Do you think that marines suffer from body image problems? Perhaps they get spam like "Get a body like Roboute Gulliman in only 39 days". Or maybe "Delight your sergeant with this simple trick".
Ha! Definitely.

I raise this thread by foul necromancy.

Due to recent rambling about 40k:RT STCs only containing agri-construction plans, and the weapons and vehicles being "hacked" out of them...

Lol! You've definitely hit a certain haxxored STC vibe with your vehicle models Curtis. Feel free to jump on board.

Bolt pistol:

An Entertech E9115 AK Centerfire, "the worlds most popular motorised watergun".

Yes! It is just a cut-down AK-47, and the bolt-pistol is a cut-down AK-47, but the Entertech E9115 AK Centerfire had a 1985 release so precedes the RT Boltpistol by a couple of years. It also had cool adverts featuring Catachan Juves, whatever they are.

P.S. the image is linked from: Two Warps to Neptune an excellent blog of fine repute and more than a few materials that may well be of interest to Oldhammerafarians.
