They were really great models. I'm certain it gets said a lot here but anything GW have produced recently has been a very poor, over exaggerated imitation of their older models.

Most probably. I got heavily into WHFB when GW still had shops that sold other games then again a few years later. Then a resurgence in the early 2000's. I quickly fell out of love with the game again as it was just getting way, way too competitive. I've never entered a tournament but I imagine they were close to the 666th layer of the Abys in terms of fun when I stopped playing :lol:
 
Great paint job.

These are the Juan Diaz horrors. I think they were around early 2000s.

I got a few of these on ebay a while back and this has inspired me to get them painted.

I may well look for more though I'm more inclined towards the Slaanesh aesthetic. They're just more fun to convert and have great visual appeal, to me at least :lol:
