Harry gets ready for Christmas

Meanwhile Dwarfy themed game means dwarfy themed scenery and this project gave me the nudge to do a bit of scenery I have wanted to do for a while.

This is a Gormity (Sp?) plastic toy.

Here it is, all glued together, after a bit of green stuff work and some more harsh language. :D

From the moment I saw it I thought that would make a great bit of Dwarf scenery and I a manged to pick this one up on ebay for £10 along with 5 other other Gormity 'castles'.

Spray painted black:

Dry brushed in a few shades of grey .... Jobs a good un.

Needs a bit of basing but not bad for a couple of squid and a very warhammer dwarfy feel to it I think you will agree.
 
Black undercoat and some drybrushing, turnes a toy into scenery. :o
Wasn´t sure after the first picture, appealled to much a toythingy, but on the later pictures it really looks stunning good.

Yes. A ice base and I was thinking I might add a few bits from the dwarf bits box to make it a bit more war hammer and ad some smaller detail ... And the jobs a good un.

So here is what I am working on next .... bit more work on the 'sledge' and some false antlers on the 'reindeer' and the job's a good 'un.

I cannot help but imagining dwarf santa throwing beer barrels to his people from his iron cart singing OHOHO !
I could defoinitely count as a gyrocopter this way (but you must have thought of that first)
This whole theme is a real pleasure to see.

THIS is why I'm not going Christmassy for the painting challenge- no way I could come close to this awesomeness! This is the stuff of Oldhammer and I'm loving every second of it! :D

I like to think of myself as slightly bonkers rather than completely insane. :D
Yes. Gyrocopter was what I had in mind. It is a toss up between The white dwarf, or a christmased up Gyrocopter pilot or bugmans cart driver for Santa. But I had not thought of beer barrels rather than a big sack. I quite like that idea. decisions ... decisions.

I can't take all the credit... The idea ... stolen from a guy who posted on my thread on Warseer.

Pretty sure he must be a happy dude ! Getting your ideas stolen is somehow rewarding when you're in the hobby. :D
