Goodbye Greenstuff?

I realise the panic is over, but ...

I shall be most curious to give it a whirl! (although I do have quite a bit in my freezer) Hopefully given everyone totally stocked up there will still be some market demand! :)

I wonder if they did approach PPG to licence the original formulation or if they just decided to 'go for it' and engineer something new?

I've only ever used Milliput, just because it was always available in hobby shops when I was younger and now because it is what I'm used to. From reading, Green Stuff stays a bit more flexible, and perhaps has a bit less of a rough texture - would that sound about right?

Also, I tend to do most of my detail work when the putty has hardened considerably (more used to carving wood really); would that be a reasonable approach with Green Stuff, or should it be done before much of the cure has progressed?

I feel like I ought to try it, given it seems to be preferred for miniature sculpting!

Moving from Milliput to GS was absolutely a game changer for me. How anyone sculpts anything with the granular, non-sticky mess that is Milliput I shall never know!
Thanks, I'll definitely try to pick some up. With Milliput, I have come to do my main shaping in the evening and then leave it overnight. When I come to it the next morning I find it at the optimum consistency for carving out. I have a good few hours with it like that before it seems to be more likely to chip as it gets harder, but then can be filed or sanded if needs be.
