Welcome to the Golden Gobbo painting competition. If you'd like to read some of the ancient history you can on the Realm of Chaos 80s blog.
This competition is held some years and you'll find threads here describing how to enter and when the competition is running (typically after BOYL each year).
Other than the fame and wonderment of your peers there is often a prize kindly donated and you'll have the wonder of being awarded badges for your profile here.
Well worth the time spent!I’d like to add my chaos dreadnought for the competition. It took a long time to finish painting this guy as I got very tired of stippling in all those dots.
Like that idea, might need to steal it. Where are the ladies from? This is my entry. It is a base insert that allows my Classic Keepers of Secrets to take to the table in modern 40k or AoS. I needed to make it into a mini diorama or else the poor Keeper looks very small in the center. The pic shows it, loaded and unloaded.
The ladies are from Hasslefree. They might be defunct now. I believe three of them are standard as cast, and the other two minor conversions. A head swap and repositioning of the hands.Like that idea, might need to steal it. Where are the ladies from?
Fair. But, I mean it is literally just a base. It doesn’t even have “the model” in residence all of the time. And this way I can flumox younger 40k players as it isn’t the model they expected, but its on the “proper base”, and is even a GW model. Hell, it’s entirely tournament legal if one cared about such things.mm.. gonna have to have someone check that base insert cause it might push the line over to diorama.
nice though ^_^
Yes! Now that's some oldtimey Slaanesh dread right there!I’d like to add my chaos dreadnought for the competition. It took a long time to finish painting this guy as I got very tired of stippling in all those dots.

Caring about such things is pretty much the antithesis of oldhammer.Hell, it’s entirely tournament legal if one cared about such things.
