Giants!

I've had just about every giant bar the Matt Perry Citadel Giant in my collection at some time, but I have never compared the heights of the models.

The largest I ever had was the Goblin War Giant at about 11 inches tall, while the C28s are about 2.5" each.

Has anyone seen a comprehensive comparison of all the Citadel models?

OMS's giant is only 6 inchs of metal. about 1 kg in weight. and the current £85 isn't too bad for that.. but not something I would have too much interest in..

personally, I think there is a 'within reason' when it comes to giants... I don't even want to get started trying to figure out how they would breath or just how much they would need to eat..

I'm trying to work out if I can convert one into a mutant 'titan' for a space pirate army. I'm already got a couple of mutie giants of smaller stature as heavy weapons platforms.

I need to measure it against my Warhound...

In case you ever wondered about how big giants were...

If you don't know, now you now...

That's a Goblin war giant (L) , Citadel Giant Alan Perry (R) and Citadel C28 Giant (Bottom).

My space pirate mutant army will be mental. Despite their early Imperium origins as space marine variants, the 'Space Marine 1st RNA PHenotype' (SM1RPHs) also know as the 'Gigantic Infantry' (GIs), are enormous warriors but pretty dim. That's a dangerous mix with defence lasers.

But also not as big as Imperial titans. What a battle....

I'm developing these guys into a space pirate army, developing on the 'Talopus slavers' mythology, and taking a lead from the original RT artwork of the Logan's World slaver gangs...

My starting point is to develop a weapons platform for the pirates using the war giant, adding a defence laser, an autocannon and a heavy bolter for tank-like capability.

Each of the C28 giants carries a single heavy weapon (autocannon/heavy bolter) and all will be in the Rogue Trooper (GI) colour scheme of blue skin, white hair to reflect their origins in early Imperial genetic experiments that eventually led to the Space Marines. 'GI' denoting 'Gigantic Infantry'.
