Genestealer hybrid Ork ! New Sculpt

Awesome, another copyright/IP thread!

Sweet work Obscure. I'm sure you're sick of people asking you already, but any chance you'll make human/alien hybrids? The ork is great, but the sort of thing I'd only buy one of, not a whole squad.

Thanks to all of you guys for your support , (Zhu you are so right this time too ;) ) indeed I'm very sure I'm not doing any infrigment when I design my miniatures , the terms "ork" and "genestealer" has been used only here with the "community friends" to just get to the point of what this miniature is better to represent , but of course I'll not use that terms in other places.

In terms of similarity...well as some of you pointed we have plenty of companies with much more blatant copies of much more actual GW designs , does anyone know Avatars of War and their dwarves? Just to name one...

Even GW do a good job 30 years ago with all the Tolkien races...

Lets try to be a bit open minded with this please ;)

OK, cool. I would recommend that any further work you simple call it something else EVEN ON HERE! There are GW employees who come on this forum after all. Using what may or may not be trademarks or associated names is really not a good business practice. All it takes is a heavy handed court case and you will find it hard to proceed, even if you are technically in the right.

Even gene-stolen-orks is probably fine, and certainly puts the point across. Doing a range of humans, dwarves, elves etc as part of your range, The Gene-Stolen would be cool.....

I have an ork-bug hybrid sitting on my painting table at present. It's a conversion of old GW plastic rather than an original sculpt, but I must say I like the idea. Maybe he needs a friend. I went a slightly different direction. (Did partially resculpt the head.) Will have to post a shot when I get him finished.

Edit: here's my clumsy take on the same idea some . . . twenty years ago? Geeze. That's a long time to sit around without paint. Yeah, time to fix and finish. That said, looking forward to seeing yours cast and maybe next to this one . . .

I am also a big fan of this alien/sci-fi orc hybrid. I like how it works with your chaotic sci-fi orcs to give a flavor of some deeply mutated war band. I could see myself buying these.
