Fimir army

Hi everybody,

I plan to build a Fimir army with original models from Citadel miniatures for the leaders and elite troops and with the "Heroquest model for basic troopers.

I will play with the third edition of Warhammer , cause we could find a small list in "warhammer armies". But it's only an ally contingent.
If someone knows a official list for the third edition of the game, le me knows please. I'm looking for advices for painting and basing the army.

I played in a 5 way Fimir game this morning. (Not many people can say that, I'll bet, although it was only a couple of units per side). Get in touch with Geoff at Oakbound (Fimm). He has built up a massive force of them.
 
There's a list in WD102, but it's not much different to the Allied Contingent in Armies. Have a scan around the forum for ideas as well, there are lots of conversion opportunities and a few not-Fimir models compatible with the old Citadel ones- check out ZeroTwentythree's Reaper conversions and Dave Stafford (Mr Saturday)'s savage orc conversions. Ross Whitehorn at Krakon Games has a model that suits a Meargh and Troll Outpost have Diego's excellent Swamp Warrior. Oakbound are also releasing a new Myeri clan box later this week which contains models that fit scale-wise with Jez Goodwin's 28mm Fimir and the Heroquest ones. Be aware that original Citadel Fimir were not very popular so are on the rare side and usually go for £15-25 each on ebay these days.
 
For what it's worth, here is my initial attempt (v0.1) at fleshing out the 3rd ed. WD Fimir update with some of the elements that were still missing (allies, mercenaries, hosts) and my first shot at revising the Mists rule a little bit to make the army a little more practical, especially for smaller games. I also added the Shearl, although theor uae in battle doesn't really fit with my own image of the Fimir. (Except maybe in desperate need, like defending their own settlement or village.)

I'm still painting and haven't had a chance to playtest it yet, so feedback os appreciated. My plan is to finally get enough painted to get them to battle in 2017.
