Something I've wanted since 1986; Alien Legion miniatures!
That comic was really memorable. The regular characters got killed off with alarming frequency and the approach to plot and design was terrific, especially in the first 20 issues.
I'd love to see Nomad Squadron and some assorted Harkilon soldiers finally get produced as 28mm figs.
Is there any hope of that ever happening?
The regular Dalek-like aliens of the series, the Harkilons, had a pretty intriguing culture like a cross between genestealers, orks, and tyranids.
The characters in the titular Legion itself had personalities that were superbly represented and well defined which made losing a squad member have the proper sting when it happened. I remember being on edge every time I picked up an issue hoping that my favs didn't end up dead! (Sometimes they did!) It was a thrill to read.
When Rogue Trader came out my enthusiasm for squad-based SF firefights was already well primed by reading this book. It was partly because of this that I got so fired up about WH40K when I discovered it.
